Hello,

I "accidentally" uninstalled my NVIDIA GeForce 720M driver from my device managing director when I tried to reinstall the driver. Now it no longer shows up on the device manager at all, and I cannot install any driver since the laptop does not detect information technology anymore.

I am running Windows 8.1 64bit on a Lenovo ideapad s410p laptop. I've tried using the bios startup simply to no avail, the only graphics commuter detected is the intel one. And since I'grand using a laptop, re-plugging in the graphics card is not really a viable option either...

Organisation restore does non work (The oldest backup, somehow, is After the uninstallation), and I actually do not want to resort to factory reset...

And of course, earlier the uninstallation, the driver worked just fine.

Delight assist, I have no idea what else to do at this point. Thanks in advance..

you tin can download information technology on nvidia website

I cannot install the driver, every bit the laptop does not fifty-fifty detect the GPU.

My problem is that I idiotically uninstalled it from device manager and now I have no idea how to become my PC to recognize it again... Arrangement restore is not an option, not even the oldest backup point fixes the problem... And I don't see any PCI-something options on my BIOS Setup either...

I know which driver I demand and I have it downloaded, simply the problem is that installing causes an error cause my laptop simply does not detect that it has the GPU.
Neither automobile-detect, geforce express nor manual installing works but considering of this... And I can confirm it'southward non a hardware problem, information technology's because I accidentally uninstalled information technology and I have no thought how to get the laptop to re-detect that it has a GPU plugged...

To maybe make it clearer, I'1000 looking for a mode to forcefulness the laptop to re-detect the GPU driver over again.

-System recovery is not an option. None of the recovery points are quondam enough, for some reason...
-Some other threads mentioned plugging in the GPU again, merely that would be unfeasible to do on a laptop...

Please help... I have searched everywhere and nothing helped.

If all else fails, I guess I am going to resort to factory resets... Only do you retrieve it will solve the trouble? I really don't like the thought of deleting all my data and nevertheless the problem persists...

Very strange.
Try going into Safe way, I don't think the F8 fundamental works in Win8 yous have to go to PC settings from windows and restart in rubber mode. Then uninstall the intel driver. reboot back into Windows and see if it detects your Nvidia GPU. If it doesn't then go into device manage and click on the video driver. So click on the Action card and click on "Browse for hardware changes". Are yous sure yous downloaded the correct driver? Yous might demand to download the mobile version of the GPU?

Hey! I had the same problem... I opened up Device Managing director browsed and found that my GPU had appeared in the "Other devices" section named 3D Video Controller. I right-clicked > Backdrop > Driver tab > Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software. So it automatically downloaded the correct driver for me and updated. After that my videocard with its full name and model appeared in Device Manager under the Display adapters and I had to restart my comp and information technology worked again! :)
